Supplier governance that gives control over delivery, cost and responsibility

When the contract says one thing, the supplier does another and the invoice shows a third, you need a strong buyer role. I help you build it.

Typical situations when I come in

From situation to decision and execution

  1. Review of contract and deliveryI compare what the contract says with what is actually delivered and invoiced.
  2. The buyer roleWe clarify who commissions, approves, follows up and escalates – and what mandate they have.
  3. Follow-up modelYou get a simple model for meetings, measures and deviations that can be used every month.
  4. Actions and negotiationI support you in the dialogue with the supplier so that deviations lead to action.

Clear scope from the start

The assignment is carried out as a defined review at a fixed price, or as ongoing support while you build up the buyer role. You get a quote after our first call.

Swedish municipalities and regions can engage me through direct procurement or the ADDA framework agreement.

Among other things, I have helped a trade union sort out the link between IT contracts, actual delivery, costs and responsibility – read about the case.

“Don’t hire Peter when it’s difficult. Hire Peter when it’s almost impossible.”
Former CEO, Akademibokhandeln
“Peter contributes knowledge, and I have great confidence in how he also shares that knowledge so the organisation grows in knowledge and self-confidence.”
Head of Administration, Region Stockholm

Questions I often get

What is supplier governance?

Supplier governance is how you as a buyer steer and follow up a supplier: that what is delivered matches the contract, that deviations are handled and that responsibility between you and the supplier is clear.

What is the difference between supplier governance and contract management?

Contract management is about making sure the terms of the contract are complied with and used. Supplier governance is broader and also covers the relationship, the buyer role, follow-up and collaboration over time.

Do we need to change supplier?

Rarely as a first step. Usually delivery can be put in order through a clearer buyer role and follow-up that is actually used.
